    My light bulb moment

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter hulfie captured these images during a football game between Woking F.C and Crawley Town in England in mid July. "I love how it shows that, despite it being a friendly game and not meaning much, people will still come to follow their beloved team," he said. He is very much looking forward to the Olympics, particularly the Paralympics, and says he will be watching avidly from home.

After years of working my mundane retail job I spent months and months looking for that certain thing that would change my life. A few months ago I had the pleasure of venturing to Toronto for 10 days. Not wanting to take my basic point and click digital camera, I invested in my first dslr, a Nikon D5100 with the 18-5mm vr lens. I loved using it capturing the beauty of Canada, its sight and amazing lovely people. In returning, I had found my self falling in love with photography and felt I could do more. A friend of mine holds a yearly football event in which I played in several years running. Being in Canada I was unable to arrange to participate, but after talking to him it was agreed I would come along and take pictures, to see if I could get any good shots.
It was a great success, I got amazing photos, learnt so much in such a short time and started believing I could of found something I could learn and eventually make it a career. In the short few months since I picked up my camera, my photos have gone from strength to strength, learning more about photography, how cameras work and even things about myself. It has given me a new sense of direction and purpose in my life and now I feel I am doing something with it also.
In this time I have managed to get quite a bit of work based on very little work, this being a game for a semi professional club, becoming the photography for my local club and my biggest work, at a music festival.

So that's my story, one of a 20 something guy who had his light bulb moment that has changed my career, profession and more importantly life for the better.
