    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     A class III collector Hkmachinegun says his photo only represents a small portion of his gun collection. "I have always had a deep interest and love for firearms. I have been collecting long guns since I was 18-years-old and handguns since I was 21-years-old," he says. "I feel if everyone legally owned and carried a gun, there would be a lot less crime."

    Back in the time when road rage shootings on the west coast was peaking 1990 I had a hair raising experence on I64 west in Norfolf Va.. It was early fall when you would have your windows down, trafic was heavy. I was trying to change lanes from the far left to get out of the way of someone that seemed to be in a bigger hury than I was.I turned on my signal and when it was clear the person behind me changed lanes at the same time and same place, i swerved back intomy lane and instantly the other drive started yelling then hit his brakes then I heard the sound of a 357 magnum. I did not have a carry permit so by law I could only carry my hand gun unloaded and locked in the glove box by law. So at that point I pulled my spair keys from my hip, unlocked the glove box, loaded my Colt gold cup 45 auto and had it out my right hand window pointing at him. When he saw the gun he fled. I would liked to see how fast I pulled that off on vedio. Very shortly (a week or 2) I applyed and received a conceiled carry permit and I carry every day. I own a auto collision repair shop and I carry non conceiled and I have never had a customer complain and most are curous and express d disire to carry or learn to shoot.
