    Traditional Kazakh Wedding Dresses

    Beautiful Kazakh wedding dresses with the conical tall hat called the Saukele. The Saukele is the most important part of the wedding costume and is often embellished with precious stones and gems. Owl feathers can be added to the top of the hat as a symbol of good luck. Most probably due to the past Russian influence under the USSR, many brides prefer the modern western style wedding dresses but the trend of wearing these traditional wedding dresses is coming back again these days.
