    Lightning in New York

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     mpb11 shot this dramatic lightning strike from his Manhattan apartment window. 'The brunt of the storm itself was intense but short - there was very strong rain and wind for about 15 minutes, at which point the rain cleared and the lightning show began,' he said. His image was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for March 4, 2013.

    Strong storms in New York City tonight produced quite a show.  Looks like the lightning initially struck the BofA building and then snaked its way through the sky.
