Photo of the Day - for about the last 20 years

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     CharlesRose saw the CNN.com story about five friends taking a photo of themselves every five years and thought, 'that's nothing.' He and his wife have been taking a picture of themselves holding a sign with the date every day for roughly the last 20 years. He always makes sure to take a picture, even if his wife has already gone to sleep (the flash usually wakes her up) or they're apart (they take photos separately and put them together later). They include friends, celebrities and sites around the world, along with changing hairstyles and fashions. 'It's amazing as you look at the pictures, it just brings back that moment in time,' his wife told iReport. 'It's been a great photo diary.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

My wife and I have taken our picture, holding the a sign with the date, every day for roughly the last 20 years. Attached is one from 2005. The earlier ones are all prints, the later ones all digital. We started so long ago I had hair. Since then, it's pictures all around the world (Kuwait, Egypt, India, Australia) and across the US, but mostly at home here in Rochester, NY. Biggest lesson we've learned? You wear the same clothes a lot.
