Carolina Panthers Star makes Financial Pledge to Aurora Shooting Victims
Star Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith has donated $100,000 to the victims of the Aurora shooting to help pay for medical expenses.
"As a father and husband I cannot imagine the pain and suffering the victims are going through," Smith said. "Hopefully, this helps a little bit. From one NFL city to another, God bless."
This is just one of many Americans that have donated their time, money, and literally their blood to helping support the victims and their families of this tragedy.
Smith and his wife, Angie, have three children. He coaches his son’s soccer team in his spare time, and is a partner in Athletes United for Youth, a charity organization that provides educational, programmatic, and structured support to youth housed within under-served communities.
