    New York Lightning Storm

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     lucid311 lives in Nyak, New York. On the day of the storm that hit the city, he was working at the CNBC Headquarters. As he was driving back home he noticed that the weather was beginning to get worse. By the time he reached his apartment, the storm was just beginning and it hadn't started raining yet. He describes the beginning of the storm as "very windy with a thick mass of clouds that looked like it was sitting on top of all New York." Girard also mentioned that although there was no flooding in his area nor any power outages, the storm caused damage to many trees and street signs in his neighborhood.
