Iran: Khazar cement drivers on strike closes factory

Based on reports received from inside Iran and published by the Herana website, the strike by the drivers of Khazar Cement Factory led to the closing of this factory. This factory is one of Iran’s largest cement producing units throughout the country and runs under the supervision of the mullahs’ provincial office in Gilan Province. This factory stopped its production over two weeks ago.
This strike was staged in protest to the rates announced by the regime’s governorate office. Based on this report, this factory lacks the facilities to store the cement and therefore has stopped its production. Restarting production at this factory would take another 10 to 15 days and comes at a heavy cost.
