    Reminiscing the 2002 Winter Olympics

    Watching the London Opening Ceremonies got me reminiscing about the Salt Lake Olympics which my wife and I attended. Going to the Olympics and taking part in the Opening Ceremonies is one of the most wonderful things we've ever done.
    Going to the Olympics should be on everyones bucket list. We only went for the opening weekend but it was still magnificent.
    They enlist the crowd to participate by using flip cards and flash lights. We all wore white ponchos. It was a blast. Utah is so pretty in winter. Driving to the men's downhill we saw a bald eagle fly over the car. I loved shaking my cowbell at the men's downhill. I remember thinking the Canadians got ripped off at the pairs figure skating and sure enough the it turned out the French and Russian judges were in collusion. We had tickets for the men's ski jumping but it got postponed due to winds and didn't get to go. We froze waiting, but still what a joyful day. I definitely want to go to another Olympics
