Marriage: Between One Man & One Woman
I feel, having the belief that marriage should be between one man and one woman, is not wrong; it is a simple opinion someone may have. However, once a citizen starts to govern people creating laws preventing other citizens the same access to the same rights that America gives every other citizen, that is when it becomes a problem of trampling on the rights of citizens and separates the differences between America and other democratic nations.
America is not a democracy where majority rules. If we were we wouldn't be separated as different from the rest of the world who have democracy's, like Egypt and India. Additionally, if that was the case we would have been a Christian nation from the birth of this country because the majority of people who came to America were Christian. The fact is that the only reason 'you' believe marriage is between one man and one woman is because of 'your' personal faith in your religion and the book that dictates your morals. These morals of any citizen that aren't applied equally (like murder) are not legally allowed to be created by any means because we are a republic that the minority's would be protected against majority rules based on religion, speech, or press. No law can be made to force someone to believe in that book and what it says.
Anyways if God wanted us to come to him only one way we would all not have been given the GIFT of FREE WILL. God gave us this gift because we all have lessons to learn that will guide us to the path that we were destined to take. Who is any man to judge that it is wrong FOR THEM to marry?
No one knows what is in the heart of any man because you cannot see it. I don't care if you don't agree with same sex marriage and want to voice 'your' opinion. I however, protest against anyone who try to take another citizens rights away because of any moral base...
