    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Thousands of fans cheered on the Penn State football team as they walked to the first practice of the season this morning. spintography shot video of the scene around 6 a.m. "A lot of people were saying they wanted to support the players that decided to stay.     In light of NCAA sanctions, Penn State football players face the choice of transferring. Today, was the first day of football practice.

    To show solidarity and support for the football players who decided to stay, Penn State fans came out this morning to support the Penn State football team and coaches on their way to practice on Tuesday July 31, 2012, starting at 6 am.
