    First "Twitter" Olympics

This 2012 Olympics is the first one where Twitter is making a huge difference in how folks learn about what happens at each event. Sadly it is also impacting on the athletes directly. Case in point is the current "tweet war" between soccer player Hope Solo and NBC analyst Brandi Chastain. Swiss soccer player Michel Morganella was booted from his team after tweeting racist remarks about the South Korean team. Greece's triple jumper Paraskevi Papachristou was kicked off her country's team before she even left for the games due to racist tweets. NBC is catching grief from the twitterverse because of the network's decision not to broadcast all events as they happen.
