Selection of a president.
Most of us select the best man for the job depending on our welfare at a given time. If there is no war and the economy is in good shape, we tend to to look at other issues to make a choice. We assume that a new leader will still keeps us out of war and keep the economy going strong. Case and point Clinton. Good economy minor war but we did like his behavior and almost got him impeached. To go after the democrats for antics of Clinton, we elected Bush. Solid Christian George Bush, destroyed the economy and started two wars. That made us mad so we elected an unknown, president Obama. Obama is getting out of the wars but he did not fix the economy as fast as every one had hopped for. He pushed and got a national health insurance, but good Christians looked at it as work of the devil.
Other than that the man did nothing else worth mentioning other than, birth control, abortion, gay rights, and as a black man telling white folks that he is the commander in chief. Now he beat a veteran senator, a war hero and a solid woman and governor of Alaska. Now most of the issues as abortion and so forth have been around for thirty years or so, but that makes no difference, Obama is just another liberal democrat. He needs to go. Obama could have made great strides if he started a war with Iran to please supporters of Israel, went to Texas got dunked in a river and come out as a born again Christian, invite the holiest of born again Christian leaders to be part of his inner circle. So Obama is stupid or a man with integrity.
Romney beat the best of the republicans in the primaries, I voted for Gingrich, unfortunately the professor went to sleep on the debates. I thing Romney is an intelligent smooth operator, but he cannot walk on water. Economy will come back in due time no matter who the president is in office. He says he will be tough on China but first he has to pay them the billions we owe them or they will flood the market with our dollars and make us poorer. Of course he does not worry about that because his money is in other denominations in foreign banks.
Easy to talk about attacking Iran but first thing fist. He has to hear what the intelligence community and the military have to say about a war with Iran. If they tell him of years of war and casualties he might tone things down a whole lot.
Personally I have no major problem with both men I just wish they stop talking to us like we are just plain stupid. This country is like train on a track, it will just keep rolling along because we have lots of checks and balances, presidents will come and go but the country will survive anyone of them. I watched and voted for every president since Lyndon Johnson, every president sooner or later got mad in his face but we survived.
