This iReport is part of an assignment:
- Great Start to Immigration Reform: Convicted felonious illegal immigrants will work picking crops while incarcerated to defray taxpayer expense, very much like the "Chain Gang of the South". Deportation will begin at the end of the sentence served!
- Indeed Eddie Glaude. Also, it is refreshing to know that President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Colin Powell, Magic Johnson, and/or other prominent Blacks have not duped all US born Descendants of Slavery!
- Send the LA County DA Fraud Division After Danny Bakewell, Sr. et al. Typically, Black leaders have been Serving Themselves and not the Black Community!
- It is the Republican State Senate and Republican Senators who are Demanding the Removal of Convicted Felon Senator Roderick Wright from Office, and not the Democratic State Senate, nor the Democratic Party the so-called Vanguard for the Little Guy or Gal
- ...Thank You Sandy Banks! RE : "Roderick Wright was Wrong"... To Date, By Far this is the Best Los Angeles Times Articles that You Have Authored! The Felon and Carpetbagger Roderick Wright Should be Removed from Office and Banned from Public Service!
If Left up to President Barack Obama and the BO Administration These Criminal Illegal Aliens Would be Given Amnesty, a Free Pass to Citizenship. In Contrast President Obama has Contempt for the Rights of Law Abiding U.S. Citizens, in Every Regard!
Editorial: Immigration and keeping families intact, About 5,000 children in more than 20 states were put in foster care after their parents were detained or deported by immigration authorities. That's unacceptable.

Encarnacion Bail Romero was arrested in 2007 at a Missouri poultry processing plant along with 135 other undocumented immigrants. She was charged with federal aggravated identity theft and sentenced to two years in prison for using a stolen Social Security number to find work. She was sent 1,000 miles away to serve her time.
Now Missouri state officials are seeking to impose a second, even harsher penalty on Romero. This month, a state court judge concluded that she had "abandoned" her son while she was incarcerated and had thereby terminated her parental rights, clearing the way for a Missouri couple to adopt the boy, who now speaks only English. Romero never agreed to the adoption. Neither federal nor state officials provided her with any help in reuniting with her child.
Romero's troubles began when the Department of Homeland Security detained her at the poultry plant. At that time, she wasn't given an opportunity to transfer custody of her son, Carlos, to relatives. Once she was in custody, officials never reached out to help her understand what was happening to her son or that he might be put up for adoption.
Many people swept up on immigration charges face similar problems. A study by the Applied Research Center, which studies the intersection of immigration enforcement and the child welfare system, found that some 5,000 children in more than 20 states were put in foster care after their parents were detained or deported by immigration authorities. Experts say parents who are detained or face immigration-related prosecutions often face obstacles communicating with family courts or accessing foster care systems, making it difficult to keep track of their children or assert their rights.
Tearing families apart isn't in anyone's interest. A new proposal in Congress, the Help Separated Families Act of 2012 written by Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard(D-East Los Angeles), would make it far more difficult for state and local agencies to use immigration status to terminate parental rights. The bill would also eliminate rules that prevent undocumented relatives from being awarded temporary custody while a parent's immigration case is being resolved, or jail time served.
Roybal-Allard's bill is a sensible start, but ultimately, the real problem is a dysfunctional immigration system and a cowardly Congress that refuses to undertake comprehensive reform.

In retrospect, despite the fact that this opinion piece reaches moronic conclusions, and was written by and for morons, there is a silver lining. The silver lining is that the L.A. Times clearly illustrates the FACT that every single illegal alien commits multiple crimes while in this country, and that the crime spree never ends until death or deportation. The woman here is typical of ALL illegal aliens in this country. She entered ILLEGALLY, she committed identity theft/document fraud, violated labor laws , stole social services, and cost taxpayers a fortune just by her presence and the birth of a child . This woman's story has happened OVER and OVER again with MILLIONS of other illegal aliens that ALL commit these crimes. It is really not difficult to understand why these people cost U.S taxpayers 100 BILLION per year.
So thank you L.A. RAZA Times for illustrating the obvious for the oblivious.

"To often these sympathy stories neglect that IT IS A CRIME TO USE SOMEONE ELSE"S IDENTITY. Are they willing to forgive a U.S. citizen for stealing their identity for criminal profit? If not, then the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT should be held to the same standard"
What American citizen has to use a stolen SS card to get employment? She got away with it because E-Verify isn't devised to catch ID Theft. She got caught like the others because of the on-site raid. If she used it to defraud SS or to intentionally defraud the actual card holder, yes she should have gone to jail. But if she used it merely to get a job, then she's done nothing different from the others who did no time. Ok so we increased our costs by putting her in jail for two years. We've succeeded in legally stealing her child. But did this solve "illegal immigration"? Is punishment for punishment's sake a solution? I'm sure that brings satisfaction to extremists, Hate Mongers but really the whole process just wasted more resources for no good at all.

A great reason to amend the 14th amendment, send the kids home with the parents, they do not deserve to be American citizens.
To the argument that, "these kids would be going to a country they never knew," I would argue that "they were brought to a country that they never knew", and the parents had no issue with that when they came illegally.
DEPORT THEM ALREADY, like, yesterday. Just send them home, stop the fussing.

......If left up to President Barack Obama and the Obama Administration criminal illegal aliens would be given amnesty in the form of passage of the "Dream Act", a free pass to U.S. citizenship.........at the expense of the rights of millions of law abiding U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.
........In contrast President Obama, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, multiple members of the Congressional Black Clueless, AKA the Congressional Black Caucus, other liberal Democrats, or other disgraceful public servants have contempt for the rights of law abiding U.S. citizens and legal immigrants, in every regard!

.......It would be interesting to know just how much longer and to what degree a gullible black electorate will continue to be sold on Barack Obama and/or other inept no good elected officials, affiliated with the Democratic Party!
I'm an American and not African-American.
Multiple generations of my family and relatives are U.S. citizens by birthright and not migrants from Africa who later became American citizens, i.e. true African-Americans.
I'm U.S. born, black, and as a resident of the State of California, thirty year property taxpaying resident of the County of Los Angeles and the 10th Los Angeles City Council District, be it past or present day elected black leadership, I know for a fact that President Barack Obama, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, multiple members of the Congressional Black Clueless....AKA....the Congressional Black Caucus, 2nd District Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, 10th District Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson, etc., etc., do not exercise his or her sworn oath of office to serve me, or anyone else affiliated with me.
