Not fast food today at Chick-fil-A Torrance
There is nothing fast about the fast food at Chick-fil-A in Torrance, CA today.
First off I should state that I do not have a dog in this fight. I tried Chick-fil-A when they opened around the corner, but I was not impressed. I want our El Pollo Loco back. I do not eat fried, processed meat, so they really have nothing for me. That being said, I was immediately impressed with the amount of business they always seem to have.
Every morning I walk past the Chick-fil-A at Hawthorne Boulevard and 182nd Street . Every day there seems to be quite a few people there. I was surprised when I walked by at 9:00 AM this morning and there was only one car at the drive-thru and the parking lot was virtually empty. I returned at 10:00 with my camera and now there were upwards of three cars at the drive-thru. I decided to go inside and see how many people might be in there. Granted, I have never been inside at 10:00 AM before, so I was not sure what to expect. As the photo shows, it was pretty barren.
The last segment of photos were taken at noon and begin with the gentleman in the truck. As I was walking towards the Chick-fil-A I could see that there was a line of cars waiting to get in. I stopped and talked to the guy in the truck and he told me he waited about 40 minutes to get his order.
As you can see, the parking lot filled up as did the restaurant. I had a few people comment that they had never eaten at a Chick-fil-A before, but they would now.
I can only put up 10 photos and I will return a couple more times today, so if you want to see all the photos, they will be up on GotBaddog.com later tonight. I have to say, if the gay protest on August 3 has half as many people, it should be quite interesting.
Update: I ended up going back at 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Unfortunately I could not get the photos to upload here but they are all on my site with some personal observations.
