Striking Janitors in Houston, Texas Rally in 100 Degrees for $10.00 per Hour Wage
On August 1, 2012, my life intercepted with striking men and women who work as janitors in Houston, Texas. Therefore, I decided to attend and videotaped part of their rally and protest march. The local Houston janitors are striking to increase their pay from a top wage of $8.35 per hour to $10.00 per hour. Prior to my arrival and at a different location several of the people participating in the match and rally were arrested during the event.
