'Diary of the Wimpy Kid Dog Days' Review

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     MelissaF and six-year-old Shayan saw the movie "Diary of the Wimpy Kid Dog Days." Shayan offers his review for the movie, and says it was a hit. MelissaF says she loved hearing his review. 'I think with kid movies that kids should be the critic not me,' she says. 'I dreaded seeing it at first but I had a great time and laughed so much. It's a great family movie,' she says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Six year old and movie critic Shayan Fazli gives you his take on the third installment of 'Diary of the Wimpy Kid' franchise with 'Dog Days'.

As an obligated mother to take her sons to family friendly movies, I have to add that I had a great time. I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. The cast is the same which adds to an authentic value for the franchise. I have seen the others and my sons have all the books.

I love the fact that it teaches life lessons, but in a fun way so that kids really get the message. It's not the hit over your head and down your throat kind of movie. It's pure fun and enjoyment.

I recommend taking your kids. I dreaded it at first, but was pleasantly surprised how much fun I had.
