CNN PRODUCER NOTE     brighteyess visited a Chick-fil-A in Centerville, Ohio, on August 3. He says the controversy surrounding Chick-fil-A is a matter of free speech, and he says the company's CEO had the right to state his opinion about same-sex marriage. 'I believe that he has his right of freedom of speech, but I don't agree with his definition of marriage,' he says. Although he does not agree with Chick-fil-A's CEO's definition of marriage, he did not come to the restaurant to participate in the "kiss-in" protests. 'We were there to support freedom of speech and the right to marriage,' he says. 'I believe that people should be free to marry with whom they fall in love with, whether you're gay or straight. Banning same-sex marriage does not "protect" heterosexual marriage and is contrary to the very basis principles of the American Democracy. Same-sex marriage provides a more stable environment for their children by giving parental rights to both partners and incase of hospitalization,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

"A respectful freedom of expression and of speech at Chick-fil-a Centerville location. Employees at this location were exceptionally welcoming to us and created an open environment for a healthy dialogue. " - HARDMAN
