Travel snapshots: Otherworldly landscapes |
Cappadocia, Turkey
This past May I went to Cappadocia which is in central Turkey. We saw the so-called fairy chimneys. These are deposits of volcanic ash that by erosion developed into different kinds of cave formations. It is really fascinating to see.
It really was an interesting experience. The people of the village were wonderful. I took a hot air balloon and multiple hikes. This was wonderful and very different.
