    Oklahoma Fires- Creek County

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Hilary McKinney photographed the smoky haze near her home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, on August 4. 'You are seeing the smoke from the Creek County fire,' she says. She says she could see and smell the smoke, and added that the fire was burning east of her location. She says when she captured this photograph the fire was out of control. 'We could see smoke and ash was falling at the time. We did not see flames. But now the fire is under control,' she says. Although they were not evacuated, they prepared just in case it happened. 'My boyfriend and I just bought our house about six months ago, and it was scary to think something might happen to it,' she says.
