    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jyngbr70 told me, 'The Chalky Fire consumed 100,000+ acres within one day and it made quite an impression on myself and the citizens of this community. Air support and the amazing work of the fire fighting line crews prevented the destruction of our town.'

    A helicopter conducts bucket operations on the 128,094 acre Chalky Fire on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in southeastern Montana Sunday, August 5, 2012. The blaze forced the evacuation of Lame Deer to neighboring communities temporarily displacing hundreds at a Red Cross Shelter and with relatives. Mop-up operations began early Sunday.
