Extreme heat but the Quail are still out

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     As the sun beat down with temperatures reaching 114 degrees, revloc says he was out watering plants at his vacation home in Fort Mohave, when he saw a covey of quails come into his yard looking for food. "One by one they flew up to the top of the fence and dropped down the other side," he says. "They continued their journey across my neighbor's yard. I thought the quails were cute."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

I was staying at a house i own in Arizona this weekend. It was 114 degrees out. While it was so hot these 13 quail came into my yard looking for food. I've seen a lot of quail out there and I've seen some coveys of quail out in some of the most remote sections of desert. They are a hardy bird.
