    Renaissance Love Story

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Having met through the Chicago Tribune personals, ladylaura42 says she loved having a public proposal. "It was moving, sweet and came from the heart. I love public proposals because it shows a person is willing to go that far to prove how they feel," she says. "They add so much more romance and depth of feeling when even people who don't know you are moved beyond words!"
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

My husband John proposed at The Bristol Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin. He put a Celtic knotted ring on my left finger. Then asked me to keep that until he got me the real thing. My second proposal was at his parents house in front of his parents. He got down on one knee, asked me to marry me and gave me my real ring.A marquise cut diamond ring with side diamonds. We were married at The Canterbury Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on April 28,2001.We had dinner at The Camelot with a complimentary bottle of champagne. Our story also includes several royal moments. My husband had me knighted at Medieval Times for my 30TH birthday. Our story has had romance, renaissance, art and royal flair from day one!we were even married dressed in costume as king and queen! Our dream is to renew our 20 year anniversary at The Canterbury Wedding Chapel again in costume!
