    London 2012 Olympics - Tower Bridge

     

    Tower Bridge with its Olympic Rings is one of the most important tourist attractions during The Olympic Games.

     

    It is a combined bascule and suspension bridge built between 1886-1894.

     

    In June, an AugustaWestland helicopter flew through Tower Bridge while filmed from another helicopter for a video clip for the Olympic Opening Ceremony (James Bond & The Queen).

     

    Soccer star David Beckham piloted a speedboat carrying the Olympic Torch under the raised bascules of Tower Bridge during the Olympic Opening Ceremony.

     

    Tower Bridge offers splendid views over River Thames and onto many other landmarks of London.
