Army SSgt. Matthew Sitton's remains come home.
Army SSgt. Matthew Sitton's remains arrived at MacDill Air Force Base just after 10 a.m. An honor escort accompanied Sitton's body through Tampa and to Hubbell Funeral Home in Belleair Bluffs, Florida.
Sitton, 26, was killed Aug. 2 by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Afghanistan.
Sitton, who grew up in Largo, was a star athlete and baseball player at Indian Rocks Christian School, he leaves behind his wife, Sarah Sitton and their 9 month old son Brodey.
