    Candlelight vigil Buena Park Sikh Temple

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     djs1103 captured a photo of her two children; the family attended a candle vigil for the victims of the Sikh temple shooting. The vigil was held on August 9 in Buena Park, California. She says the vigil was beautiful and solemn. She says she and her husband do not always wear turbans and patkas, but that does not mean they are ashamed of them. 'My son has been teased about his long hair in school and I hope schools now will take a more proactive role in educating kids about the Sikhs,' she said. 'I hope these events allow my three children to live in peace and harmony in this country and know that they are proud and privileged to be Sikhs and American.'
