    Romney's VP pick

    More from ReallyRick

Romney - Ryan 2012 is Good For Obama!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ReallyRick says Paul Ryan was a safe choice for Mitt Romney, specifically because of Ryan's extremely conservative views. 'Romney needed someone that could energize the core Republican base, a staunch conservative, and a rising star in the part with some credibility among his fellow members of Congress,' he says. But he says Ryan will not help Republicans win the Hispanic vote, nor will he gain support from American seniors because he mentioned ending Medicare. 'I think the democratic machine will be able to paint Romney and Ryan as too out of touch with the average American. The same ole "rich white males,"' he says.

As someone who wants (however reluctantly) to see President Barack Obama get re-elected, I for one would be pleased to see Mitt Romney select Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his Vice Presidential running mate.
