This iReport is part of an assignment:
Romney's VP pick |
Paul Ryan: the Darling of Deniers
The environmental community is up in arms (human arms, not armaments) over the choice of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney's pick for Vice President.
Ryan has been known to mock global warming, as if it were a hoax...during a blizzard in Wisconsin. So because of a blizzard, global warming was somehow rendered as a farce.
I'm curious to hear what he thinks about global warming now. Or is he just gonna dismiss it as a non-issue like he did before?
When everyone worries about the rising costs of food and fuel, don't forget what is driving up those prices now. The drought across much of America is devastating corn and soy fields. And water is needed for natural gas frackers so they are bargaining with farmers to use their water. Water is going to be at the center of a lot of future news, I think.
Don't be so naive to think that Paul Ryan and his economic plan are going to save Romney's campaign or this nation. Unless they have a plan for how we can adapt to climate change in proactive and drastic ways, they will not convince America that they understand what we are facing, nor show us they are concerned for the consequences of inaction.
We need leaders who understand. I don't see any candidates who do, except for maybe Roseanne Barr and Cindy Sheehan. I wish that they had a rat's a$$ chance to win. I'd vote for them.
And I've got to say I'm so impressed with Roseanne's weight loss. She looks good. You go girls!
