    London 2012 Comes to Close

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     tomkellyfoto worked for the Winter Olympics in Utah, but the 2012 London Olympics was the first one he attended as a tourist. He says it was an amazing experience, especially because London is a great host city. 'The Olympics brings out the best in all of us. It captures the attention of the world for 17 days and helps the world put aside its troubles and focus on the lifelong sacrifice made by athletes to be best in the world. Being in Olympic Park and inside Olympic Stadium is a very special feeling, literally being a part of the joy of the athletes' triumph,' he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

The lights will go out on the Olympic Stadium and the adjoining Orbit sculpture when the 2012 Summer Olympics close Sunday in London.
