Shameful refereeing on final women's handball match
we were very happy for the first Montenegrin medal at the Olympic Games, after the renewal of our country's independence in 2006, but we had that bitter taste of last night's refereeing. It's a shame in a game like that that was so important, the ref decided the result before it started.
Namely, we were aware that Norway was the favorite, because they had three titles from major competitions at the moment, and last night they were defending the gold from Beijing, but the refereeing from sisters Bonaventura was more than shameful. That was not in the spirit of the Olympic games!
We are a small country and we are more than proud of our women's handball team, but we hope that someone in charge will see the video from last night's match and condemn that unfair refereeing.
We do not want to diminish the Norwegian success. Just the opposite. We want a fair comment on the match. Last night Montenegro deserved a fair refereeing at least, if not even a victory.
