After a successful first night of photographing a Perseid time lapse from my balcony, I decided to take it to the next level. I grabbed my camera, a fresh battery and jumped in my truck at 1am and headed down to Stanfield Cutoff in the middle of Big Bear Lake. I assumed I would be alone trying to avoid raccoons and mosquitos however instead I was astonished to find many stargazers parked in longe chairs or the bed of a pickup truck just laying back watching the show. It was reassuring to have others around in the pitch black darkness. It was like we were watching a fourth of July fireworks show! Every time a meteor passed overhead, the stargazers ooh'd and ahhh'd and cheered. Isn't life great when you can simply enjoy what is given to us; and is there for us to experience at no cost with little effort? Go out an see the world, or heck, at least watch my videos and live through me. Cheers.
