    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     joshwander, membership chair for the Pittsburgh GOP, was pulling for a possible Allen West VP pick. Now that Romney has picked Paul Ryan, Wander says this pick is 'pure genius,' saying he will be a formidable opponent to Obama and Biden. originally picked Rep. Allen West as his favorite to run for VP with Romney, but he is very pleased with the pick of Ryan.

    I believe that Mitt Romney's pick for vp is pure genius. Although Paul Ryan is not well known in many circles, I'm sure he will prove to be a formidable opponent.
