Perseids on Bleckley Street
This photo, which was taken from her driveway in Wichita, Kansas, on August 13, she says she chose to capture the meteor at home and put a house in the frame because for her, it represents safety, peace and a sense of self. "The great thing about meteor showers is that you never know what to expect. You could lay outside for hours and only see a few, or you could unexpectedly see a meteor walking into your house from the car," she says. "To me, that is why it is so exciting. I am always impressed with the show the Perseids puts on for me."
