    Perseid Meteor Shower with vapor trail

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     randolphmail told me, 'I set both cameras on different tripods and used a remote camera release to shoot approx. 1250 photos. I assembled them using Lightroom, Quicktime and Adobe Premiere.'

    Time lapse video fo the Perseid Meteor Shower as seen in the skies over Pt. Betsie Lighthouse between Frankfort Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes off M-22 in Michigan.

    Watch closely to the top right corner at time code :30 for a large meteor that leaves behind a visible vapor trail. You can see the vapor trail dissipate in the atmosphere.
