    The Heroes return home

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter misael, a TV producer from the Dominican Republic, was lucky to be able to welcome home his Olympic heroes on Monday night when the Dominican team flew home into the nation's capital, Santo Domingo. Go to the last frame to see the city erupt with joy for the athletes as they rode through the city.

"I was the only photographer in the car with them, so for over two hours I felt the joy of being with them in their homeland," he said. Those in the pictures include 400m hurdler Felix Sanchez (first picture, on the right), who raced to gold in his final and who, movingly, wept on the podium as he recieved his medal. Luguelin Santos (on the left in the first picture) won silver in the 400m at the tender age of 19, adding to the Dominican Republic's Olympic glory.
