    Kittitas County WA fire

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     DavidD captured this wildfire photo on Howard Road near Highway 87 in Kittitas County on August 14. "It was scary. The picture was taken prior to the fire jumping across the highway. We experience fires as a part of the summer season, but in my 11 years here, this is the closest they have come to the city of Ellensburg," he says. "We listened to the scanner until bed time, and the firefighters were struggling just to keep up with getting people out of danger zones. The only bright thing right now is the massive outpouring of support that is coming out of our community."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

The fire In Kittitas County in Washington star has consumed over 27,000 acres and over 60 structures.  It is still uncontained.  The state has mobilized and is coordinating efforts to assist in managing the blaze.  Firefighters have been battling the fire throughout the night and have not been able to contain the fire as of this morning.  Resources from around the state are coming in this morning to assist.
