    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Driving cautiously from Leavenworth to Yamika, Washington, on Highway 97 with his grandfather John, ibmibt says they could feel the heat from the Taylor Bridge wildfire (between Cle Elum and Ellensburg) as they drove through. "It was very hot. I was just surprised and amazed. We saw three fire trucks arrive, so I assume they closed the road shortly after we went through," he says. "It's unfortunate. Many people were on the road watching their belonging catch on fire, and several groups were in tears."
