    The Mistake Peak Fire, Arizona

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Visible for miles on end, nleister says it was a humbling scene when he saw a huge smoke plume rising from the mountainous terrain above Roosevelt Lake. "I was awestruck to be honest. I have never seen a plume that big in recent memory," he says. "There were a good deal of forest service and firefighting vehicles traveling the highway up to the fire. Closures remain in effect for a large portion of the Tonto National Forest."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

The Mistake Peak Fire is burning north of Punkin Center, Arizona and northeast of Roosevelt Lake. As a point of reference this is some 60 miles northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. The fire itself has grown to some 3,400 acres and continues to consume ponderosa pine, pinyon, and chaparral fuels producing a significant smoke plume. There are 150 firefighters committed to containing the blaze at this moment. Containment stands at 10%.
