Professional by Day, Costuming for Labor Day (Part 2)

Update: I added a new story with the complete list of costumes I have FINALLY completed. Two weeks before con is a new record for me. Usually its the night before we hit the road I'm usually helping a friend who has waited till the last possible moment to ask for help.

I was asked about the challenges I faced when completing my costumes for con. I have several costumes so each one had their own challenges but in the end it about time. How do you find the time to make 6 costumes and help make 4 others for friends? I end up having late nights during the week and work into the wee hours of the morning on the weekends.

One challenge I had was matching fabric for my Katherine Pierce Vampire Diaries dress. In the end I was inspire by Scarlett and used a set of sheets.

I also cosplay Chewbacca. That's right a girl dressed as a "walking carpet". I've heard it all actually. Yes, I can make the wookie roar and purrs. This costume is a little scary. I walk on a pair of 12 inch high platforms with limited vision due to the mask and all the hair. I know one challenge is keeping the hair out of my face.

The biggest challenge will be getting the car packed, is it all going to fit?
