    Wildfire in Creek County Oklahoma

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     eogren shot this video of Chuck Bender, a retired fireman, describing the scorched area and what happened during the fire in Creek County, Oklahoma. "I’ve been to dozens of disasters of various kinds and I’ve never gotten used to it. It’s hard to comprehend what you are seeing when you look out over the scorched ground, or look at the concrete slab that was somebody’s life-long home," he says. "What always stands out to me is the resiliency of the people. It amazes me how the people we encounter show so much resolve in the face of such life-changing devastation. The community has gone out of its way to help those who lost everything."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team Chaplain Chuck Bender, a retired fireman, explains what happened with the fire in Creek County. Chaplains are on-site meeting the emotional and spiritual needs of fire survivors.
