He said and cried and asked bitterly, that I got 70,000 DM from a German teacher and gave him to be free and repair his building and give the money back in 20 days. But after 20 days that I wanted the money and I was so sure that he will give it, he said he needs two more months to pay the money. I trusted him so much that I thought he will give in two months. But again, he wanted six more months’ time. Now my German friend said to me I know you and not Morteza Musavi Tirabadi please give the money to me in few days. I should gather money from my father-in-law and other friends and give it to the German friend, in the hope that in six month he will give the money. Again after six month, he wanted two more years’ time? Now the German told me, if you borrow money to your friend, you will lose the friend and money both? Now I had to pay the father in law and other friends who trusted me. I started to sell my gold, silvers and Persian carpets to pay them. And Morteza told me, he will give the money in two years plus the inflation, so you can buy what ever you sold for me. He said in such a ton that I believed him.
I gave him DM, but he gave me checks in Rials the Persian money with 25% inflation every year. If even he would give me the equal to the DM in three years now, I would lose 75% of the money. He promised that he will also pay me the inflation which is about %25 a year.
I do not know, may be he wanted to give me, but later he may his mind. He also said to me, he can give half of his garden to me. Which was about half value of the money I gave him, I said why you do not give the whole garden which is the same as my money. He agrees, but again later he changed his mind.
The trust that I had and the greed that he got with the time, made the matter more difficult. May be first he was willing to give me, but later he thought that Amir get so angry, because I could not act my promise so many time and later or in future he will not have the same trust in me, why I should give him money at all. So after two years, he said; you have checks and documents from me, and I gave you also the paper and documents of my house and garden. I can give the money tomorrow or in 10 years. He changed from a nice and friendly man or friend to a cruel person who wanted to destroy my capital. We have quarreled with each other and after I left his house, he went to police station and with bribe money, sends two policemen to my house that I quarreled with him and bit him. And his neighbors and friends also prove his statements.
Now he goes every day to another police station and with giving some gifts or bribe an army of police and state attorneys prepared to tease me.
He even sends official letters to university that I am Bahai and I want to change the religion of the innocent Moslem children, the university sent me out of work and later I lost also for his activities the other jobs that I had. Every other day I have to go to the police stations in different part of the international city of Tehran and go also to different court system in the city of Tehran.
Now he was trying to destroy my life also. So I made from a nice friend a huge and nightmare enemy?
He misused the court system in Iran that interest is verboten and the court system could not understand that I lose the value of the money every month.
So he destroyed seven years of my life and I had to go every day or every other day to a court and police station. The police and courts were a game for him and he misused them for his own benefits.
After seven years I got my papers evaluate and I got the right. As he did not let my papers and document be evaluated. They were in the way as he went to different places and the judges ask the papers and documents so my papers and documents were in a moving position and the judge could not decide over them?
His garden now was 20 times more expensive that before, but my money with over 150% of inflation was less than 1/3 of the real money. And I lost also my jobs and I had to go to other country to get a job.
This time I trusted my Bahai family who were living in the USA and they told me, send the rest of your capital here and we can buy houses for you and if you come here even illegal you can get good jobs and can live here very well. They may thought I can be in trouble in Iran because of the Bahai name. or the government may be kill me like other Bahais have been killed, or I cannot get visa for the USA , or even if I can come here, I cannot do the paperwork and cannot get the visa to stay here. So they were sure that the money I sent is theirs. They said even if I got an attorney for green card or visa, the attorney will keep the money and does not do anything for me and I will also lose that money too.
But sorrowfully I got the visa, I came here and I got also job. Now I had to try to bring my family here.
The paperwork to bring my family here took about 3 years time. So I did not see my family for more than three years. In the time that they came here, they were not children any more, but young adult or teenagers.
My son started to say that all was your fault that you trusted your friend and your family and they robbed you. If you did not do that, we have more money now and more possibilities. I could not get the same job and the same salary here as I had in Iran. So they were not happy. Now what ever I left behind in Iran, all my gold and silver or carpet remained had been taken by my wife and she did not want to live with me any more. After one years that they live with me and they learned more English and knew the system.
My wife left me as she got job and worked there. She rented an apartment and left me behind in the big house. She went to the Bahai Spiritual Assembly and wanted divorce. And she took all my wealth remained in Iran; I could have only the house back as they could not sell it.
The parent of my wife put all my expensive furniture in the basement and what ever they could sell they sold already. Like as I said gold, silver and Persian carpet. In Persian it was a huge inflation, so the people do not save money, but buy gold, silver carpets or houses to keep the value of their money. So the saving of 20 years of mine was taken this time by my wife.
The father in law let the house of mine be damaged by the tenant and he did not try to collect the rent. In the time I was in Tehran he said first you have to take the rest of your furniture that I could not sell out of the basement, than I will give the key and the paperwork of your house. They were as Bahai very rude and unfriendly to me. Their daughter divorced me; because she thought she may be marry a medical doctor whom she met in Iran. And they had changed sort of love letters secretly and by accident one of the letters came to my house after my wife and children left the house.
