    Expendables Relives 80's Cheese Action

If you loved the 80's cheesy action films, this movie is for you. The sequel brings in even more of the old guys from the decade of excess, including Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The movie follows 'The Expendables', a mercenary group, as they seek revenge against the Villain, Jean Vilain (well played by Van Damme), a rival mercenary who murders one of their own (The only 'young guy' on the team lol), and threatens the world with a deadly weapon.

Take all the 80's action films and put them in a mash-up and that is basically what you have here. Most of them, from Sylvester Stallone to Dolph Lundgren, were never great actors anyway, so its all about blowing things up, shooting people with a high body count, and the tributes to earlier films.

Schwarzenegger's "I'll Be Back" line is starting to get old now though, and Bruce Willis is simply following the script. But, it's nice to see all the guys - and a few girls - back together again - its hard to believe, but most of this crew is now in their late 50's to late 60's.

Loved the classic rock soundtrack, the fights and shoot-um up scenes were fun, and there was some good cheesy humor and one liners. But the first film was better, and there was even more humor to break things up in the first picture.

Most chicks will not like this movie, Karen and Roberta hated it!

    Grade: B
