CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter HibMN took these images on a drive through the downtown of her home city, Hibbing, in Minnesota, on Sunday. "Everyday, when I drive through downtown, it makes me sad to see these beautiful structures going to waste," she says. "Most of them have been all boarded up and up for sale last couple of years." Our iReporter worked in this building when it was still a department store and recalls its beautiful stairs and a unique old elevator inside. Now, she says, most businesses build huge buildings outside of town. "Our downtown is not like it used to be, no-one walks anymore and we have to drive to these big stores," she said. "So our small businesses, whatever is left downtown, are suffering from this."
