Third Grade Here I Come!
Today is a big deal! Our son, Wyatt, is heading off to third grade. I am not sure who is more excited?
I am one proud Mama Bear! After nearly seven years of advocacy and hard work we have come a long way. Gone are the days of dragging him through the parking lot of the school, while screaming, and pealing him off my body at the classroom door. I am thrilled that my son walks proudly to the bus and doesn’t hide under a table to cover his ears. Happy that he has friends who will greet him and grateful for his teachers who understand his special needs.
Today I feel triumphant! We still have a long road ahead of us. However, I am celebrating my son’s accomplishments and giving thanks.
