    "Legitimate rape" comments highlight real choices we face in November

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     omekongo says he is an independent voter who will probably vote for President Obama. He writes about Akin's remarks, 'They were reprehensible and represent the negativity we've been seeing in these campaigns at the highest level. Even though he was not speaking as a representative of the Romney campaign, the fact that he and Paul Ryan have very similar views on issues like these is troubling. At the end of the day, his choice of words were wrong, but he still believes in what he said.' What do you think? Sound off on video.

    Though Congressman Akin backtracked on his "legitimate rape" comments, his remarks really highlight the issues outside of the economy that Americans must consider going into the November election.
