Rep. Todd Akins Remarks "Inexcusable" Unless You're Dana Loesch

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Liberty1955 says he will be voting as a Democrat and hopes to select President Obama. He called Rep. Akin 'ignorant' and added, 'He should step down from the nomination, but many in the GOP agree with him on 'legitimate' rape, only they would have worded it differently.' What do you think? Sound off on video.
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

Most have called Rep. Todd Akins' remarks about "legitimate rapes" and how a woman's body will miraculously biologically reject a pregnancy of their rapist idiotic and outrageous. But not all conservatives agree.

Conservative radio host, America's "Tokyo Rose" and commentator Dana Loesch, however, is never one to go along with the pack, and she isn’t ready to throw Akin under the bus.

She acknowledges that it was “not the best statement,” but says that “some are stretching it majorly.”
She Tweets," Hey spineless MO GOP: the primary ended. Please fold harder for leftist spin."

Loesch tells it like the far right really see it. Make no mistake about how the Teapublicans feel about abortion in any circumstance.
Has Akin walked back what exceptions he would allow a woman to get an abortion? What if the woman's life were in danger?
Even though reasonable Republicans have called for Akins to step down, let's remember how many of these types of candidates made it to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 and how many more are running this year that know enough to keep their mouths shut until after they are elected.
America should sit up and pay close attention as some in the GOP brush Akin's stand on women's rights under the conservative carpet.
Why would any woman want to carry their rapist's child to full term? Then, what type of emotional challenges would the child experience having been given up for adoption and knowing it's father was a rapist?

Would you knowingly adopt a child that was the offspring of a rapist?

Would you want Ted Bundy's child?

Legal abortion was supposed to be "settled law" except in some circles...still..in this day and age, as Akins remarks prove, it's not.

Rep. Todd Akins is simply ignorant and a zealot. But he's not alone.
