Abhay is now a Deol!
With Garam Dharam for an uncle and Sunny Paaji of the Dhaai kilo ka haath as cousin, it wouldn’t have taken Abhay Deol any more time to be part of the Deol clan genre-specialisation: Action!
Abhay has finally ventured out to do his first action film, Chakravyuh, directed by Prakash Jha and starring Arjun Rampal as well. The movie is about friends divided by the Naxal ideology. The role required him to indulge in quite a few action scenes. “I had to run, cycle and take fight classes to prepare for the character,” says the actor, who agrees that even though he is several films old now, ‘The Deol can’t stay away from action, so here I am!’
We’ve always enjoyed watching this dimpled actor sizzle on screen. Talking about his shooting experience, Abhay comments that it was a picnic shooting with Jha. “The topic is so relevant,” he adds, “Moreover I loved Prakash Jha’s previous films.”
All we really need to find out now is who Abhay is taking out all his Deol-action on- The Naxalites or Arjun!
