    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Vacationing in Argentina and hiking four to five hours on Mount Fitz Roy to reach this particular spot, kshew says he wasn't prepared for the awe inspiring view when he reached the top of the last steep hill. "We were very fortunate to have a clear day, and spent a couple hours photographing, eating lunch, and absorbing it all in," he says. "What stood out to me were all the colors, beauty and enormity." His photo was selected as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for October 8, 2012!

    I've seen many photos of Fitz Roy in Patagonia prior to my trip. However, I wasn't prepared for the eye popping experience of seeing it in person. Note the 3 little people perspective (one in red) at the lake edge to get a sense of the enormity of it all. What a view !
