CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter maireadpt, who lives in Lisbon, Portugal, snapped this image of an abandoned building in the centre of the city which has been painted over by local artists "since apparently there is no plan to restore them in the near future". This is despite the buildings, she says, being right in the heart of the city's financial centre. Portugal has pumped billions into its ailing banks and stuck to stringent fiscal austerity measures in order to manage its financial crisis. While she has been luckier than most, our iReporter says she has still felt the effect of the crisis. "I work for a public company that belongs to the government and my salary has been cut approximately 20% in the past two years," she says. "I am very lucky, though, because I still have a stable job, unlike a lot of people."
