CNN PRODUCER NOTE     awillies says she and peer Elisabeth heard Mitt Romney's comments about his remark about his birth certificate at a rally in Michigan. 'We were reminded of how many times we have heard similar remarks by conservatives, which are unwarranted and are thinly veiled racism,' awillies said. The two college students were inspired by Romney's comment, and wanted to challenge the perception of what Americas look like. 'Americans don't have a "look" and the United States isn't an Anglo-Saxon country,' awillies said. '[We] believe that in our country no one should have to prove to the public that they are American regardless of the color of their skin. It is a sad statement about our society that they do,' she said.
